Isa's weekly challenge- 'B'

This is my entry for this week. The main image is by Paperartsy, with my favourite Aud Design swirls in the background, all stamped in Black Stazon. I used my distress inks as watercolours on the background, colours used are Weathered wood, Milled lavender, Dusty concord and Scattered straw. The alphabet is PSX. See Isa's blog for details.

More photos of the 'Mona' ATCs

Here is a better view of the ATCs, and they are the right way up! I forgot to say that I made 4, so I could keep one for myself.

UK Stamper's May ATC swap

While I was waiting to organise some new photos and add some slideshows, I remembered these ATC's which is for the May 3 x 3 swap on UK Stampers. These are the first ATCs I have made, and I think I am addicted. I have since made 2 more, photos to come. The theme was Mona Lisa (you'd never have guessed!) and I got a little technique happy here. The initial image was printed onto textured cardstock, sanded, then rubbed with distress inks and spritzed with a little water. Then I stamped in black Stazon using Aud Design stamps and coated with Glossy Accents. The words were printed from the computer, then rubbed with Distress Inks again. The corners were card, stamped with an Anna Griffin damask image, then triple embossed and stamped with a frame stamp from the same set. Lastly I added a piece of organza ribbon, to reflect the veil the Mona Lisa is wearing, and some Making Memories brads.
Thanks for looking.

Not the best day of my life!

The plan last night was that we would have a lovely, and very naughty, Kebab, then I would spend half an hour or so playing with my shiny new blog, uploading some photos, and generally having fun. It was not to be. My beloved laptop, which I have had for about 5 years, died, taking with it the most recent photos, my bookmarks list, and all of my font downloads. The worst thing is that it's been having power supply problems for a couple of weeks, so I had got the external hard drive out and said to myself "must back up", then didn't get around to it. Whoops! DH says he can rescue the files, and I'm going out to buy a new laptop this afternoon. Then, after I've loaded on the essentials, I will definitely get this blog up and running- what's the point of an online secret diary?!

Well, this is it...

Well, this is it, I've given in and joined the ranks of the bloggers. I spend so much time "blurfing" anyway, it was inevitable that I end up with my own place. Who knows if I'll get any visitors (other than people selling fake meds and smutty piccies- I have enabled moderation, you guys!), but at least I've now got somewhere for my artwork to live. If I could, I'd open up the champers, but as it is, I may just put the kettle on. Anyone for a cup of coffee?
